Summer With a Purpose: Week Three!

Hello Dear Friends!

I hope all of you have had a wonderful week, full of the Lord's abundant blessings. It is week three of Summer With a Purpose, hosted by Miss Emily. If you are interested in taking on the challenge, please click here for more information!

This week, I've been quite productive! With the help of my family, I was able to accomplish a lot!
Here is a list of the things I've accomplished this week...

1. Bedroom Work
I was able to re-do my bedroom! Here is a picture of the outcome...

~The finished product~

This is my new desk, purchased from a lovely consignment!

This is my tea tray, which sits upon my bed each day.
I added a wonderful novel to the tray as well!

I purchased this beautiful frame from a thrift store for about 50¢

This is the saying right below the picture... How sweet!

I purchased this beautiful jar from the same thrift store... It cost me about 50¢ as well!

Thrift stores are such a blessing! Mama and I were able to find two bags full of special "treasures" for only $6.00! What a blessing from the Lord!!

2. Photography
I was also able to work on my photography a little bit this week. I feel so blessed to have a wonderful camera, which I can use to take photographs of God's beautiful creation!

"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."
~ Genesis 1:12 ~

"The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods."
~ Psalm 24:1-2 ~

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord..."
~ Psalm 127:3 ~

3. Cleaning
This week, I helped my dear mother by cleaning quite a bit of the house. Our homestead is large, and so I was not able to clean all of it, but I was able to do the following...
• Vacuum downstairs- Tile floors, wood floors, brick floor, and rugs.
• Vaccuum upstairs- My bedroom, Jessa's bedroom, Tyler's bedroom, hallway. (All bedrooms but Daddy and Mama's.)
• Clean windows- I only cleaned mine.
• De-clutter- Kitchen counters, my office, Jessa's play area, my closet.

4. Sewing
I am working on a sewing project for my 100th post giveaway! *smiles*

5. Bible Reading
Last night, I attended a youth service at our friend's church. We read John 6:1-14... The passage which talks about when Jesus fed the five thousand men! What an amazing story and miracle!

I feel as though I accomplished a lot this week. The Lord was right beside me as I did all those things. Without Him, and my family, I would've never been able to accomplish all the things I did!

I pray that you have a blessed day, and I look forward to posting again real soon.
{This is my 99th post!!!!!!}

Continually Serving Him,

Jenna! Your room is adorable! Redecorating is something I'm about to venture into. We had a leak that messed up my carpet, so we're having to get new carpet, and I figured it was about time for an update :) Hopefully I'll be able to get a lot done with that soon.
And like mom said, we love thrift shopping! You found some beautiful treasures! Definitely a blessing :)
Oh, also, I love the water drop photo :)

Have a blessed week!
Emily

Your shiny new bedroom is absolutely gorgeous - pretty much the same effect I've been trying to create!

And you're such a talented photographer. :)

God bless.

Hello, dearest Jenna! My you have a lovely room! I love the colours; is it not nice to have a clean, organized room? I cleaned my room at the beginning of June, and it feels so nice to have everything organized (I cannot say that for the garage though:).
Just wanted to stop by and say hello to my dear friend and hope you are having a
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!
Love always,
Grace
