Courtship Class: Week Three

Hello Dear Friends!
I apologize for not posting in a while. Life has kept me quite busy recently! :)
We were blessed with yet another wonderful Courtship class last Friday, held by the principal of our homeschool group! In case you are not aware, my brother and I are attending a seven week Courtship class. If you are interested in reading my other two posts on week one and week two, you may follow these links:
Week One: here
Week Two: here
This Friday, we had a wonderful discussion on preparing yourself for a courtship relationship. Our class was fortunate enough to have a dear guest there. Our principal's sweet daughter (who is now married) was in town, so she was able to share her courtship story with us. It was so wonderful to hear her story. As I listened, I was so encouraged.
Our assignment this week was to read some pages from our courtship book, Seven Courtship Secrets For A Successful Marriage. The first section talks about how God initiates our courtship. I love the sound of that statement... I mean, what could be better than that! It is so comforting to know that God is in control of our relationships. Here are some Scriptures that were listed in this section:
"And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make Him a help meet for him."
~ Genesis 2:18 ~
"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."
~ Psalm 19:7 ~
The other sections focused on the courtship being initiated by the father, the mother, and the son.
I would like to conclude this post by sharing a few of my thoughts with you:
My prayer is that God will continue to keep my heart pure in the midst of waiting. Isn't it a blessing to know that God is in control of our lives?! I feel immensely blessed to know that God already has the perfect person chosen for me. I am content in this stage of my life, and I know that God continues to comfort me each and every day! Praise the Lord! :)
May God continue to be with you throughout each day! Thank you for your time. I hope you have enjoyed my posts on courtship. This class has truly affected me in great ways! I pray that the words in my posts have affected you in the same, great way!
Thank you, dear readers, for visiting my blog... Each one of you are a true blessing in my life!
Your Sister In Christ,

Dearest Jenna,
Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed reading it, and yes, is it wonderful that the Lord has made an "arranged" marriage. It ceases to amaze me that he has someone set aside for all of us girls that chose to wait and keep ourselves pure.

Have you read "Before You Meet Prince Charming," by Sarah Malley? That is another great courtship book along with "So Much More," by the Botkin Sisters.

Hope you are having a wonderful day, oh, and thanks so much for the sweetest comments on my blog.

Sisters in Christ,
Grace
